The meeting dedicated to public relations and popularization of scientific knowledge, digitalization and the use of electronic document management system was held at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. The meeting was attended by the administration of the Institute, heads of departments and relevant persons.

Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, associate professor Hikmat Guliyev spoke about the multifaceted reforms and renewal process, digitalization and electronic movement carried out at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in recent years. He noted that on the initiative and under the leadership of the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, in all directions of scientific activity, especially in the field of Humanitarian and Social Sciences, modern challenges of the world and important events aimed at the cultural and spiritual development of our country are being implemented.

It was noted that the application of digital technologies in management, as well as the implementation of intra-enterprise and out-of-enterprise documentation processes through the electronic document management system is the reality of nowadays. Such reality requires adapting various directions of our activity to the digital platform and integrating all employees into the electronic document management system.

The next issue discussed at the meeting was devoted to the current state of public relations and popularization of scientific knowledge at the Institute of Folklore. Hikmat Guliyev mentioned that the public awareness of the results of fundamental scientific research carried out at the Institute, especially the popularization of scientific issues characteristic of the academic scientific environment was a very urgent issue.

Deputy director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, associate professor Afag Ramazanova, heads of departments – professor Afzaladdin Asgar, professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, professor Fuzuli Bayat, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Matanat Abbasova, PhD in Philology Ilkin Rustamzade, Ali Shamil and other employees shared their thoughts about the issues discussed at the meeting. They noted that in the modern era, there were numerous information channels, digital platforms along with traditional media for the promotion of scientific knowledge to the general public. Therefore, it is very important to protect our folklore, national customs and traditions, to professionally promote our national and spiritual values.

Within the framework of public relations and popularization of scientific knowledge on folklore, the issue of improving the structure of the official website of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS – folklore.az was also discussed at the event.

At the end of the meeting, a number of current issues were discussed and questions were answered.
