The professor of the Institute of Folklore held a master class on the theme “Ancient Turkic mythology” at the 6th summer school of Turkic states
On the 18th-25th August in 2024 the summer schools on the theme “Turkology” and “New energy technologies” for young scientists of the Turkic world were held in Turkustan with the organization of the International Turkic Academy, with the support of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA), Turkish language institution (TLO) and Ahmed Yesevi International Turkic-Kazakh University. 37 well-known scientists from Turkic countries gave lectures in those schools this summer.
Head of the department of Modern folklore of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Professor Fuzuli Bayat gave a master class on “Ancient Turkic mythology” to young scientists and researchers from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
The lectures were about the issues on the model of the world in Turkic mythology, the Triune structure of the world, God-spirits, God-human relations and others were discussed. The lecture was met with interest by the audience and a wide scientific discussion was held on the topic.
It should be noted that within the framework of the “Summer School of Turkology” young scientists had the opportunity to deepen their theoretical and applied knowledge on the history, archeology, language and literature of the Turkic world.
