The scientist of the Institute of Folklore took part in the International Congress in Uzbekistan
On the 23rd-26th of August in 2024 the World Society for the Study, Protection and Promotion of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan (WOSCU) organized the VIII International Congress “Heritage of Great Ancestors - the Basis of the III Renaissance” in the cities of Samarkand and Tashkent. The purpose of the Congress was to illuminate the path of development of Uzbekistan in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, to develop cooperation in the field of study, protection and promotion of the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people.
Leading researcher of the department of Folklore and written literature of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in philology, associate professor Aynur Ibrahimova also attended the Congress.
On the eve of the opening of the Congress, there was an acquaintance with the construction work at the Islamic Civilization Center under construction in Tashkent and a film about the structure of the center was shown. Later, in the city of Samarkand the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari was visited and acquaintance with the Science Center and madrasah took place.
At the Congress the article “The common heritage of the Turkic world – folklore traditions” by Aynur Ibrahimova was listened with interest, interesting ideas and proposals were put forward in the direction of research and promotion of some folklore samples, which are our common heritage and are archaicized.
A.Ibrahimova also participated in important international meetings organized within the Congress in Tashkent and Samarkand. On the last day of her visit she also attended the opening ceremony of the XIII International Music Festival “Oriental melodies”.
At the end Aynur Ibrahimova was awarded a certificate.
