The presentation of the book “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani ceremonial culture” was held

On the 3rd of May the presentation ceremony of the book “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani Ceremonial Culture” was held at the Atatürk Center in Azerbaijan by the decision of the Scientific Council of ANAS Folklore Institute, which was co-authored by the head of the Ceremonial Folklore Department of the Institute, Doctor of Sciences on Philology Agaverdi Khalil and the senior researcher of that department, Doctor of Sciences on Philology Nubar Hakimova.

Osman Musayev, deputy director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, who opened the event with an introduction, welcomed the participants and gave information about the book.

Then, professor of Erzinjan Binali Yıldırım University Ali Kafkasyalı made a speech, spoke about the importance of the event and said that he was happy to participate in the presentation ceremony.

Chairman of ANAS Free Trade Union, Associate professor Sanan Hasanov, employee of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, Ph.D., Associate professor Sholet Zeynalov talked about the Great Leader’s contributions to our culture and especially Heydar Aliyev and the ceremonies were of great importance.

Speaking at the event, Head of the Department of Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani Statehood Central Scientific Library of ANAS Gunel Bagirova-Huseinova, mentioned that it would be of great importance to translate the book into the world languages and send them to foreign state libraries in the future.

Some researchers such as Akbar Goshaly, the expert of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Professor Sayalı Sadigova, PhD Rafael Injeyurd, Doctor of Sciences Leyla Mammadova, PhD Ilhama Gasabova, PhD Atesh Ahmadli, PhD Nizami Adishirinov, PhD Safa Garayev, PhD Hikmet Guliyev and PhD Zumrud Mansimova made speeches about the book, talked about Heydar Aliyev’s attention to our folklore and said that it was admirable that the event was held a few days before the Great Leader’s birthday.

In the end the authors expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the creation of the book, including director of ANAS Folklore Institute, Academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov, director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, academician Nizami Jafarov and all the participants of the event.
