The exhibition-event called “Novruz – the common heritage of the Turkic world” was held at the Institute of Folklore

On the 18th of March the exhibition-event called “Novruz - the common heritage of the Turkish world” was held at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS under the organization of the Women’s Organization of this scientific institution. The director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Kazımoglu-Imanov opened the event with an opening speech and said that Novruz was a holiday that preserves spiritual values and traditions that had passed the test of centuries. Mentioning that this holiday related to creation calls people to unity and peace, the academician noted that Novruz embodies the harmony of nature - the equalization of day and night, and at the same time the harmony of society - the reconciliation of grievances. He congratulated the participants of the academic event on the occasion of the national holiday of our nation and wished them good health, good mood and success in their future work.

Then deputy director of the Institute for scientific affairs, PhD, associate professor Afag Ramazanova, head of the department of international relations Ali Shamil, who participated in the event as a guest, congratulated everyone on Novruz holiday and told their good wishes.

Later, Afag Mustafayeva, deputy chairman of the Women's Organization, gave information about ancient household items, including carpets displayed at the exhibition. At the end Ashiq Roman Azafli performed ashiq melodies and songs for the participants of the event.
