The associate professor of the Institute of Folklore participated in the International Congress held in Turkey

On the 1st-3rd of March in 2024 the leading researcher of ANAS Institute of Folklore, PhD in Philology, associate professor Maleyka Mammadova made a report on the topic “Rituals and methods of protection against circumcision and baldness in Azerbaijani and Anatolian folklore” at the 9th International Congress of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language held at the Ataturk Culture and Congress Center, Republic of Turkey Balikesir Governorate, Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SADEM), Turkish Language and Literature Association (TDED) and Balikesir University, jointly organized by Balikesir University. In the report she mentioned about the necessary measures, certain rituals, traditions and beliefs performed to protect the mother and child from illness, bad eyes, heavy energy, some entities and harmful effects from the first day the child opens its eyes to the forty days.
