Presentation of the book “The unity of space, time and quantity in Nizami’s poetry” by Professor Ramazan Gafarli was held in Ganja Department of ANAS

The presentation ceremony of the book “The unity of space, time and quantity in Nizami’s poetry (in the context of folklore-mythological thinking)” by the head of the Department Dede Gorgud of the Institute of Folklore, Doctor of Philology, professor Ramazan Gafarli was held in Ganja Department of ANAS. The presentation was organized jointly with the Institute of Folklore of ANAS.

Opening the event, Deputy Chairman of the Department Rasim Taghiyev appreciated the new book of Doctor of Philology, professor Ramazan Gafarli, presented today in Ganja, the native land of the great Nizami, as a significant contribution to the research of the inexhaustible heritage of our great thinker.

General Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, academician Mukhtar Imanov noted that the author of the presented book, Professor Ramazan Gafarli was one of the well-known figures of modern literary studies and folklore studies and constantly studied the most pressing problems of these directions of our science.

Academician Nizami Ganjavi reminded the importance of being closely acquainted with the deepest layers of classical literature, as well as mythology in order to write a coherent work on the essence of his activity and philosophy, drew attention to the fact that the author had these qualities.

Academician Mukhtar Imanov also noted that the unity of space-time-quantity in Nizami’s poetry was manifested in human thought and existence in terms of human evolution, as well as mythological imagination patterns, given by the author in a very original way.

Employees of Ganja Department of ANAS also noted in their speeches that the researches of Professor Ramazan Gafarli were bright examples of modern Azerbaijani philological thought. Scientific editor of the book is Head of the Department of Mythology of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Science in Philology, professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy.

At the meeting Doctor of Science in Philology, associate professor Galib Sayilov, Director of Nizami Ganjavi Center, PhD Alimukhtar Mukhtarov, Rasim Taghiyev, PhD in Philology Ruziya Guliyeva, Scientific Secretary of the Department Elnur Hasanov, PhD Alamzar Taghiyeva, scientific worker Khayala Huseynova also spoke about the book.
