On February 10, 2024 the leading researchers of the Department of Ceremonial folklore of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS such as PhD, associate professor Atesh Ahmadli and PhD, associate professor Atif Islamzade were guests of the program “Master class” of Public Television. They shared their views on ancient songs and classifications in the program presented by Parvane Nadirgizi. “Folk songs, which contain our history, ceremonies and pains, are a work of art that enlivens the ethno-cultural environment as a whole. When examining songs, there is a need to unravel the layers of their text. For this, first of all, the analysis should be made on the folk songs belonging to the unified Turkish space, because the songs are spread among all the Turkic peoples, become variants, fall into different forms” - the folklorist scholars mentioned.
