The journal “Dede Gorgud” was included in to the system
“Index Copernicus”

The journal “Dede Gorgud” a collection of scientific articles of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, was included in to the system “Index Copernicus”. It is necessary to note that the journal “Dede Gorgud” publishes original articles in Azerbaijani, Russian, English and Turkish languages, which are researched at the academic level and estimated by the scientific staff. The journal contains folklore theory, genre system and poetics of folklore, folklore and written literature, folklore of the peoples of the world, collection, publication and research of Azerbaijani folklore. In the scientific-literary journal “Dede Gorgud” the articles in the different themes such as “Gorgud-study: searches, discoveries”, “Folklore-study: problems, researches”, “New samples from Azerbaijani folklore”, “Samples from Turkic folklore”, “Folklore calendar, “Folklore life”, “New publications” and others are published. Since April 2001 seventy one numbers have been published.
In recent years, the journal has attracted great interest in Europe and Central Asia. Thus, the articles from countries Central Asian republics, as well as Iran, Russia (Saint-Petersburg and Dagestan), Turkey, Estonia, etc. are also published in this journal. The journal is among the scientific publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the editor-in-chief of the journal “Dede Gorgud” is Doctor of Sciences on Philology Ramazan Gafarli.
