The book “Ululu Karim” has been published
The book “Ululu Karim” by PhD Banovsha Rzayeva has been published at the Institute of Folklore ANAS.
Editor of the book is Professor Mahmud Allahmanli. Banovsha Rzayeva has collected folklore examples about Ululu Karim in the different regions such as Ordubad, Shahbuz, Julfa, Sharur. She has also written the stories about the emergence of these samples, or rather, clarified the reason for the emergence of folklore examples of this variety.
In the book it is said that Ululu Karim belonging to the rich traditions of Irevan, Daralayaz, Darachichek, Kay, Goycha regions made an invaluable contribution to ashug activity. His poetry shows the high art sample influence. In the richness of Nakhchivan ashug environment Ululu Karim had an important role as a folk poet.
According to her research and material collection skills, the author gives a detailed idea of the ashug environment and the place of Ululu Karim in the art of ashug in Azerbaijan as a whole. All of them create opportunities for further research and suggests a more systematic analysis as a necessity.
