The professor from Konya made a report at the Institute of Folklore
On the 2nd of December the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore was held. At the meeting, professor of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Nejmettin Erbakan University of Konya province of Turkey, Dr. Ahmet Tashghin made the report on the theme “From Turkistan to Balkans – Horasan Hero Square – Azerbaijan: Horasan Religion and its representatives”. In his report, he mentioned the problem of religion in the Turkic peoples and its deep roots, especially in Azerbaijan. The scientist’s speech was met with interest by the audience and he answered the questions. Director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu said that such events should be continued mutually in the future and presented a souvenir to the guest.
It should be noted that Professor Ahmet Tashghin was born in 1965 in Konya. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Seljuk University in Konya. He is the author of many studies published on the different topics. He had made reports on these issues in Syria, Iraq and Iran. Now he works at the University of Konya.
