The novel “Ganli dash” (“The bloody stone”) by Nizami Muradoglu was introduced
The presentation of the novel “Kanli Tash” (“The bloody stone”) by Nizami Muradoglu, Doctor of Philology, head of the department “Education” of the Institute of Folklore of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), was held at the Baku Yunus Emre Institute. The book was published in the Turkish language in Alanya, Turkey. The book was translated from the Azerbaijani language into the Turkish language by PhD Maleyka Mammadova.
The event was opened by Jihan Ozdemir, the director of Baku Yunus Emre Institute and he mentioned the importance of the book. Then N.Muradoglu informed about the creation of the book. He added that the book was published during 2014-2016 years under the name “Baba ojagi” (“Father’s place”) in Baku. The events described in the work take place in the Nakhchivan region of Azerbaijan at the beginning of the 20th century. Reflecting the Armenian aggression in Nakhchivan with real paints the book is one of the perfect examples of the historical novel genre.
At the event, the head of the Department of Baku State University, doctor of philology, professor Allahverdi Mammadli, poet-publicist, Doctor of Philosophy, professor Ahmad Gashamoglu, PhD Shamil Sadig, employees of the Institute of Folklore ANAS - doctor of philology Islam Sadig, PhD Meleyka Mammadova, PhD Atesh Ahmadli, PhD Atif Islamzade, PhD Tahir Orujov and others spoke about the book and wished successes to the author.
At the end Nizami Muradoglu thanked the participants of the event and the staff of the Baku Yunus Emre Institute.
