Turkish scientist carrying out the research on ashug art visited the Institute of Folklore

The Turkish researcher on the art of ashug Nejdet Kurt visited the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. The director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov and Professor Naila Rahimbeyli spoke about the scientific activity of the Turkish researcher. It was mentioned that since childhood Nejdet Kurt had shown great interest in folk music, studied folk songs of Tokat and Amasya regions and recorded them. Along with Turkey, he made reports at international symposiums in Greece, Kosovo, Georgia and Kazakhstan. In addition, he took part at concerts in Germany, Austria, Australia, Greece, The Netherlands, Kosovo and Kazakhstan. The well-known scientist Nejdet Kurt is the author of more than 30 articles and 3 books.
