The Mugham Center hosted a scientific seminar dedicated to Novruz holiday
A scientific seminar on the theme “Novruz traditions as an embodiment of national and spiritual values” was held at the International Mugham Center on the 15th of March. Speaking at the seminar, professor Naila Rahimbeyli, Doctor of Science in Art Studies, spoke about the historical significance of Novruz holiday. Se said that the ancient history of Novruz was celebrated every year by our people. Novruz is one of the most beautiful holidays that have come to our days from the depths of centuries. Celebrating Novruz means to meet a new year, the first day of spring. This holiday, which has been trampled upon by the centuries-old moral values and traditions, has created a solid foundation for strengthening people’s unity and affection, showing mercy and consideration to one another.
It was emphasized that as a result of the attention and care of the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, the Novruz Holiday was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2009 and another bright page in the history of Azerbaijani culture was written.
