On the 24th of October the director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov had a master class on the theme “Azerbaijan jokes” in the faculty of Philology at the Baku State University. Academician Muktar Imanov’s theoretical thoughts about folk laugh culture, seriousness and comics in folklore, poetics of Azerbaijan jokes were listened attentively. There had also a discussion on that theme. The meeting was held by the department “Azerbaijan folk literature” of the Philology faculty of BSU. It is necessary to note that the aim of such meetings is to enlarge the scientific collaboration among ANAS and the higher educational establishments, to introduce the investigations and the results to the teacher-student memberships.
