THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM WAS HELD IN ISSIK-GOL UNIVERSITY OF KIRGIZSTAN
On the 2nd and 3rd of October the international symposium “The First Written Works of the Turkic People” was held in Karakol, organized by the Agency for Turkic Cooperation and Coordination, Turkey Bektash Cultural Circle, the Issik-Gol University and the Presidium of the World Academy of Words. Many scientists from different countries such as Turkey, Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Our country was represented by the director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov and head of the Department of Foreign and social relations Ali Shamil. Mukhtar Imanov reported the thesis on the theme “Two ritual and mythological motifs in verses “Dede-Gorgud” and Ali Shamil reported the thesis on the theme “The role of Amin Abid in the propagation of “Kutadgu-bilik” by European study methods”.
In the framework of the symposium academician Mukhtar Imanov was awarded for merits in the field of Turkic world culture.
