The scientific seminar “Lahij is the real center of folklore” was held
On the 27th of September the scientific seminar “Lahij is the real center of folklore” was held at the International Press Center.
The event was held within the framework of the “Conferencing on the propaganda of folklore belonging to minority nations” project.
Head of the department of Folklore Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Kamran Aliyev delivered a speech at the seminar.
He noted that, project was being implemented by the Public Union “Support to Folklore and Literature Development” with the financial support of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He said that, the goal of the project was to collect, study and convey folklore patterns belonging to lesser nations.
K.Aliyev noted that, within the framework of the project, employees of the Folklore Institute, as well as students of the Azerbaijan University, got acquainted with the history and nature of Lahij and collected materials about the unique culture, traditions and customs of this unique place.
He also talked about the tourism opportunities of Lahij. Lahıc is protected by the state as a historical architectural monument, which was included in the international tourism route on the Great Silk Road.
The reports by professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, head of the Department of Mythology at the Folklore Institute “Nature and people of Lahij”, Ph.D in Philology Atesh Ahmadli's “Open Museum in the Sky”, Ph.D in Philology Aytaj Abbasova “Two days, two nights in Lahij” and Afaq Aslanova, student of philology faculty of Azerbaijan University, on “Lahij's folklore memory” were listened at.
At the end the video about Lahij was demonstrated.
