The thesis on the theme “Azerbaijan Novruz: problems, discussions” was listened at the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore
On the 31st of March the next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Folklore. The meeting was opened by the chairman of the Council, the correspondent member of the ANAS Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov. First, a minute of silence was kept for memory of victims. Then Khalida Mammadova and Elnara Amirli were accepted as the post graduate students to the Institute of Folklore ANAS for 2016-2017 years. The scientific leaders and thesis were also affirmed at the meeting.

The second problem of the meeting was about the changing the name of the folklore ensemble “Irs” of the Institute of Folklore. It was decided to change the name of the ensemble as the “Gorgud”.
Later the thesis “Azerbaijan Novruz: problems, prospects” by Doctor of Sciences on History, the well-known public man, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Poland Hasan Hasanov was listened at.

After his speech some scientists such as Professor Kamran Aliyev, Professor Fuzuli Bayat, Professor Kamil Allahyarov, Professor Maharram Gasimli, Professor Shahin Fazil, Ph.D Eynulla Madadli, Professor Naila Rahimbayli, Ph.D. Nizami Muradoglu, Ph.D. Atash Ahmadli and others mentioned their thoughts about the thesis.

Answering all questions about the thesis Hasan Hasanov also thanked to the leadership of the Institute of Folklore, including the correspondent member of the ANAS Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov.
