The article by Giymat Maharramli was published in the journal

The scientific article by senior researcher of the South Azerbaijan Folklore Department of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD. Giymat Maharramli was published in the famous Turkish journal “Kultur Evreni”. In the article it is said about the book “Qashqays and their folklore” by Ali Shamil. In the research work Ali Shamil’s impressions about the life and activity of the Qashqai Turks, their historical places, problems and concerns of this Turkic community in the modern period, their efforts in the field of preservation and development of national and moral values, analysis of the researches are mentioned. Based on Ali Shamil’s considerations Giymat Maharramli noted that Qashgays distinguished by their struggle, persistence and valor, mainly live in the Southern territories of Iran, especially in the Persian region and its suburbs. Although the representatives of the Qashgay Turks preserved their ancient language, dialect, tradition, folklore, family, household and ceremonial rules, as a result of integration into society, assimilation to the Persian nation, there were few people who gradually forgot the important characteristic features and indicators of Qashgayizm, who abandoned their native language. At the same time, the Qashgays do not forget their national identity and are proud of their being Qashgay.
