An event dedicated to the memory day of Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Folklore
On the 8th of December an event about the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s Memorial Day was held in the Institute of Folklore. Speaking at the event director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov drew attention to the two stages of Heydar Aliyev’s activity in the Soviet period of 1969-1982 and in the years of independence of 1993-2003. The academician said that if we looked at the work done by Heydar Aliyev in those two periods, we could evaluate his activity in several directions. After the opening speech the documentary film entitled “Heydar Aliyev: the pages of the epic life” prepared by the Folklore studio of the Institute in connection with the national leader was demonstrated.
Then PhD, associate professor Tahir Orujov made a report on the theme “The role of Heydar Aliyev in the history of Azerbaijan and the reasons for his becoming the national leader”. PhD, associate professor Shakir Albaliyev made a speech on the theme “Realization of the issue of political heir in real life”. The speaker said that the Great Leader was ready to sacrifice not only his personal life, but also his family and children for the independence of Azerbaijan. Associate professor Agaverdi Khalil made a report on the theme “Heydar Aliyev: an example of Azerbaijanism and ideology of Azerbaijanism”. He characterized Heydar Aliyev as a person with great merits in the history of Azerbaijan and brought to attention that the main direction uniting all activities of the National Leader serves Azerbaijan.
