The book “Myth, folklore and mysticism in the work “Seven beauties” by Nizami” was published. The author of the book is head of the department Mythology of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy. Both in Azerbaijani and world science, Nizami’s activity has been studied in various aspects. The activities of Azerbaijani scientists in the study of the poet’s heritage are great both from the point of view of hard work and productivity. This activity continues at the moment. In the book “Seven beauties” is taken as an artistic-aesthetic sign and its place in the artistic-aesthetic layer of the national thinking system of Azerbaijan has been studied. The monograph explores the world model of the Middle Ages from the point of view of its folklore-mythological structure based on Nizami’s poetry of the art work “Seven beauties”. Stages of consciousness development (mythological and historical models of consciousness), folklore-mythological semantics of the main plot of the poem “Seven beauties”, mythic-poetic structure and functional semantics of macrocosm (“great world”), sectarian practice and mythological archetypes of Sufi world models in the poem, issues such as the semiotic structure of the process of spiritual evolution of the microcosm (“small world” // human), cognitive-psychological and mystical-poetic semantics are studied. The scientific editor of the monograph is academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu (Imanov), reviewers are Professor Tahir Maharramov, Professor Shirindil Alishanli and Associate Professor Sarkhan Khaveri.
