The event within the framework of the project
“Heroes of the Victory Way” was held

On the 1st of November the event within the framework of the project “Heroes of the victory way” was held in the club of the Training and Education Center of the Azerbaijani Army. The event held on the eve of Victory Day was dedicated to the memory of the martyr pilot of the Air Force colonel Zaur Nudiraliyev. After a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the native land, the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. Then Colonel Abdulla Gurbani, the author of the project, spoke about the life and combat path of the martyr colonel Zaur Nudiraliyev, the graduate of the military lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski.
On the day of commemoration, director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu (Imanov) noted that, along with the great role of modern weapons and new techniques played a great role in the victory in the Patriotic War, patriotism, moral and psychological training and fighting spirit of the modern Azerbaijani fighter brought up on the basis of national and moral values. Bringing examples from Azerbaijani folklore, folk activity, including the magnificent epos “Dede Gorgud”, the academician brought to the attention that an idea expressed by the Great Leader in the past is still relevant today and wished the Azerbaijani soldier to continue the heroic traditions of our martyrs successfully.

At the event dedicated to the memory of the martyr colonel, the Folklore Ensemble “Gorgud” of the Institute of Folklore performed with a concert program based on nationality, patriotism and Turkism. The performance of the artistic director of the ensemble, Honored Artist Nuriyya Huseynova, as well as soloists Solmaz Kosayeva, Halimat Sultan, Chilanay Huseynova and Ulviyya Mardanova were met with great interest.
The event, held on the eve of Victory Day, was attended by officials of the Ministry of Defense, Narimanov District Executive Power, families of martyrs, cultural and scientific figures, military personnel of military units and special-purpose educational institutions cadets, war participants and veterans.
