“International Symposium of Turkish Military Education and Training History”

The employee of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS took part at “International Symposium of Turkish Military Education and Training History”held in Istanbul on September 15-18 in 2021.
The symposium was organized jointly by Ataturk Culture, Turkish History Society under the Language and History Institution, National Defense University and Fatih War History Research Institute. Tahir Orujov, PhD in philology, the leading researcher of the Department of “Modern folklore” of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS made a report on the theme “Development of National Military Education during the Period of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan and Military Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ottoman Turkey”.
The two-day international symposium covered everything from military music to the training activities of the Gendarmerie, Turkish aviators at the British Royal Air Force College, military education, training activities of the Caucasus Islamic Army in the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, etc. 79 reports on the topics were heard.
