Employee of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS was a guest of the live broadcast of the program “Durna teli”, a joint project of Azerbaijan radio and TRT 1 – “Voice of Turkey” radio
On the 9th of July the senior researcher of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD. Elchin Galiboglu was a guest of the live broadcast of “Durna teli” program, a joint project of Azerbaijan Radio and Turkish TRT 1 – “Voice of Turkey”. Ozkul Chobanoglu, the author of the book “Dictionary of common proverbs of the Turkic world” on the subject, analyzed the proverbs common among the Turkic peoples since ancient times. He also spoke about the content of proverbs used in Azerbaijan. First of all, Elchin Galiboglu mentioned that the program “Durna teli”, a joint project of Turkish TRT and Azerbaijani Radio, serves to further strengthen the spiritual ties between the two brotherly peoples and wished them success.
Speaking about the essence of Azerbaijani proverbs, E. Galiboglu said that the roots of our rich spiritual wealth come from thousands of years. These and many other examples of our folklore genres are proof that we, as a nation, are ancient and rooted in these lands. Proverbs are a treasure of wisdom created by our people for centuries. In the program the difference of proverbs and sayings was opened and appropriate examples were presented.
It should be remembered that Ahmad Oguz, Dilshad Tahirgizi, Rovshan Sabiroglu, Gulsum Dadashova brought together the broadcast on Azerbaijani radio.
